Doffing
In the forming area, cakes are produced one, two, or three at a time on revolving winders with two spindles. UTIT Trascar doffing systems are designed to cover manual support, semi-automatic extraction, and full robotic automation.
Process context
- Cakes are formed on flexible paper sleeves according to tex requirements
- Side-by-side revolving winders produce cakes with random readiness timing
- When one spindle is full, the second spindle starts the next production cycle
Direct Roving modes
- Manual mode: operator removes wire rings and uses a lift assist to transfer cakes to trolley racks one by one
- Automatic mode: spindle doffer removes the wire rings automatically and extracts support frames
- Support frames are suitable for drying ovens, storage zones, and downstream stripping/packaging areas
Assembled Roving and full automatic functions
- Telescopic cradle extracts cakes and places two horizontal cakes per support when required
- Operator can reload empty sleeves in assisted versions after extraction
- Full automatic setups add sleeve insertion, cake dimension check, and cake weighing
